First of all, you could choose the ever-popular pool table. Definitely a good investment, but is it what you really want? If you’re looking for some fast fun that anyone can enjoy, a pool table might not be the way to go. Pool games can be long, and may intimidate any guests who don’t have a lot of experience with a cue.

Or you could consider a ping-pong table. These are fun, but do tend to take up a lot of room.
