3 Tips to Fix your Xbox 360

Drew Samson asked:
Is there a minor problem with your Xbox 360? Don’t be worried you won’t have to send it to the company for repairs and wait for weeks and sometimes months before it returns. This is the right place to learn a few tricks to fix the Xbox yourself.
There is nothing worse than your system crashing while you are plying your favorite game with your friends. And imagine this situation taking place just as you have reached the new highest score of the game, isn’t that frustrating. This has not only happened to me, but also one of my close friends.
And when I called Microsoft’s customer care asking them if they could repair my Xbox 360, I realized that its warranty had expired and I would have to pay to get my Xbox back in working condition and that it would be away for quite sometime. I knew that because it had also happened to my friend and I wasn’t prepared to part with my Xbox for so long.
That’s when I discovered a few important tricks that one needs to try out before sending the Xbox away to be repaired:
1. The first thing you need to do when your console crashes is to take it out of the cabinet or of the self or floor where it is kept and then take it out to the open air. This cools down the whole console, many a times the Xbox gets heated up due to continuous use and the fans need fresh air to cool down the components and open air spaces would help a lot. People soon realize that console used in open spaces usually stop crashing.
2. then second most important thing you need to do is to lift up the Xbox 360 power brick and let air enter its vents so that it cools down and works properly. Quite often power bricks get heated up and obstruct the vents; this can also cause the crash of the Xbox 360.
3. You can also try using a little fan or a hair dryer that has cold settings and use it to cool the system components by blowing air into the system vents. This process will not only cool your system components but it will also blow out all the dust getting collected in the components of the console. This can keep your Xbox 360 from crashing. Don’t forget to also do the same with the power brick of the Xbox 360.
If none of the tricks mentioned above have helped you in any way, you still need not worry as there are many step by step guides available that will help you fix your Xbox 360 all by your self.
